Overall the benefit was a major success raising over $1400.00, all of which will be utilized in Chad via Envodev. A special thanks to Harrison’s on Third for allowing the volunteers for Envodev to utilize your space and thanks to Jessica Stopp for making all of this possible. It was a fantastic and fun night for everyone!
Harrison’s on Third, a neighborhood bar/restaurant near downtown Columbus, hosted an Envodev benefit event on December 8th. Organized and directed by Jessica Stopp the benefit ran from 6pm-9pm and just so happened to fall on the night of the Browns vs. Steelers game which meant foot traffic was good throughout the evening! A slide show containing pictures of the efforts currently occurring in the Chad was up most of the night and a brief informational speech on Envodev’s mission was conducted by Luke Ubelhor. Multiple tables were reserved for promoting items the Chadians make in order to raise money for Envodev. In addition to this there was also a silent auction, a raffle, and wrist bands you could purchase which guaranteed a drink special until 9pm. From left to right: 25 items generously donated by Columbus businesses for the raffle including jewelry, teeth whitening, area restaurant gift cards, a fair trade coffee package, and more!; Envodev garb including purses (a big hit!), pencil cases, wallets, and hot pads – all made by Chadians; Harrison’s on 3rd donated 2 signs for the silent auction and there was also a gift certificate for rounds of golf that went very quickly! Overall the benefit was a major success raising over $1400.00, all of which will be utilized in Chad via Envodev. A special thanks to Harrison’s on Third for allowing the volunteers for Envodev to utilize your space and thanks to Jessica Stopp for making all of this possible.
